The Uttarakhand government is actively working to involve students in the upcoming 38th National Games by initiating outreach programs in the proposed host cities. Starting from January 12, on the occasion of National Youth Day, eight promotional vans will be dispatched to schools and colleges across the state. Through these vans, students can reserve their seats to watch the games.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated, “We aim to involve all sections of society in the 38th National Games. Hosting these games is a matter of pride for us. Entry to all sporting events will be free of cost to encourage maximum participation. I especially urge students and youth to actively take part in this grand event.”
Amit Sinha, Special Principal Secretary for Sports and CEO of the National Games Secretariat, announced that the eight promotional vans will visit various schools and colleges starting January 12. Students can book their seats to attend the games using QR codes provided through these vans. Free entry has been arranged for spectators at all venues.
This year, Uttarakhand is hosting the National Games during its Silver Jubilee celebration of statehood. The games are scheduled to take place from January 28 to February 14, across multiple venues including Dehradun, Haridwar, Shivpuri-Rishikesh, Koti Colony (Tehri), Nainital, Rudrapur, Khatima, Haldwani, Almora, and Pithoragarh.
