Provide timely ambulance and air ambulance facilities to the needy: CM

Instructions to officials to effectively propagate the mythological importance of winter Chardham Yatra

On Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed officials in a high-level meeting to ensure that ambulances and air ambulance services are promptly made available to those in need. He instructed that a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) be prepared for this immediately.

During the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence, he also directed that in cases where financially weak families face difficulties in cremating their deceased loved ones due to health-related deaths, the District Magistrates of the respective districts should ensure arrangements for financial assistance or the cremation itself.

Additionally, he emphasized that if families face financial challenges in transporting a deceased family member’s body to their home, the District Magistrates should arrange for the transportation of the body via ambulance.

The Chief Minister further instructed officials to effectively promote the cultural and religious significance of winter pilgrimage sites under the Winter Char Dham Yatra.

He highlighted that these sites have held immense religious importance since ancient times, and devotees have traditionally visited them for divine blessings. Visiting these winter pilgrimage sites carries the same spiritual merit as the regular Char Dham Yatra. During the winter, worship is conducted at Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath for Kedarnath, Pandukeshwar and Narsingh Temple in Joshimath for Badrinath, Kharsali for Yamunotri, and Mukhba for Gangotri.

Present at the meeting were Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretaries Shailesh Bagoli and Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police A.P. Anshuman, and MDDA Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari.
