Uttarakhand Sports Department Requires Over 2,000 Volunteers for National Games
Dehradun, December 18, 2024:
In preparation for the 38th National Games, the Uttarakhand Sports Department has initiated the volunteer registration process. Approximately 2,000–2,500 volunteers are needed for this grand event. Since the launch of the mascot and other symbols, over 10,000 volunteers have already registered.
Message from the Chief Minister
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated:
“The National Games is not just the responsibility of one department; it is an event for the entire state of Uttarakhand. It is a matter of pride for us. I urge everyone to participate in this event in some way.”
Preparations for the Event
The CEO of the National Games Secretariat, Amit Sinha, emphasized that everyone’s cooperation is being sought to ensure the event’s success. Volunteers will play a crucial role in the successful execution of this large-scale event.
Additional CEO Prashant Arya mentioned that registrations are coming not only from Uttarakhand but also from states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and others. Several retired officers have also expressed interest in volunteering.

After registration, participants will receive an e-certificate. Selected volunteers will also receive a separate certificate for the 2025 National Games.
Training and Deployment
- Volunteers will be provided necessary training by the Sports Department.
- They will be assigned to various roles, including sports events, parking, and other arrangements.
