District Magistrate Savin Bansal and Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh inaugurated the Mussoorie Winter Line Carnival 2024. The DM stated that it is a day of great joy as they are promoting premium tourism. He emphasized that the brand “Mussoorie” represents an ecological and cultural destination. Every new initiative is undertaken in the public’s interest, and it impacts everyone in some way.
He added that this has only been possible through teamwork among various departments and the cooperation of the public. Efforts must continue to promote and develop our workplace and hometown, not just economically but also through suggestions and collaboration.
DM Bansal expressed his hope for cooperation from local traders, stakeholders, and the public in this grand event so that tourists visiting here leave with a positive impression of the district and the state.
Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh mentioned that the new initiatives introduced in this year’s Mussoorie Winter Line Carnival will aid in enhancing security and traffic management. He assured that the arrangements will be further improved in the future, and any shortcomings identified will be resolved with the help of suggestions from local residents.
Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah provided detailed information about the Mussoorie Winter Line Carnival, stating that it was first organized in 2013 after the devastating disaster in Uttarakhand. The carnival aimed to boost the tourism industry and increase the income of local traders. Since then, it has been held annually in the last week of December. This year marks the inauguration of the 10th Winter Line Carnival.
