On the occasion of World Sleep Day, a public awareness program was held at AIIMS Rishikesh, where medical experts emphasized the necessity of good sleep for overall health. They advised limiting mobile phone and social media usage, as excessive screen time negatively impacts sleep quality.
Sleep Clinic at AIIMS Rishikesh
AIIMS Rishikesh runs a Sleep Clinic under the Department of Psychiatry on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The clinic includes a Sleep Laboratory, which helps diagnose and treat sleep disorders.
The awareness program was jointly organized by the Department of Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, and the College of Nursing. Medical professionals discussed causes, diagnosis, and treatment of sleep disorders.
Street Play on Sleep Awareness
Nursing students performed a street play at the OPD area, educating the public on the importance of sleep and its impact on overall health.
The event was conducted under the guidance of AIIMS Rishikesh Executive Director, Prof. Dr. Meenu Singh.
