Awareness Rally and Seminar on Ganga Cleanliness and Drug-Free Uttarakhand Held in Doiwala
Doiwala, December 18, 2024: Under the aegis of the Adarsh Industrial Autonomy Cooperative Society, an awareness rally and seminar were organized at Public Inter College, Doiwala to promote the cleanliness of River Ganga and a drug-free Uttarakhand. Students pledged to keep the rivers clean and work towards a drug-free state.

- Address by Police Officer Anil Joshi:
- The Circle Officer (CO) of Doiwala, Anil Joshi, emphasized the role of students and youth in supporting the police administration to make Uttarakhand drug-free.
- He urged the younger generation to stay away from drugs, which he described as a threat pushing youth toward a dark future.
- Joshi also highlighted the importance of adhering to traffic rules.
- Remarks by School Manager Manoj Nautiyal:
- Nautiyal stated that drug addiction destroys the youth and called upon parents and teachers to actively prevent children from falling into this trap.
- Initiatives Highlighted by Adarsh Society President Asha Kothari:
- Asha Kothari outlined the organization’s various programs, including campaigns for Ganga cleanliness, drug-free Uttarakhand, environmental conservation, tree plantation, and awareness against female foeticide.
- Other Contributions:
- Several dignitaries, including Ishwar Chandra Agarwal, President of Sanskar Bharati, Harish Kothari, Secretary of Adarsh Society, and Principal Naresh Kumar Verma, guided the students with motivational speeches.
Rally for Awareness:
Following the seminar, a public awareness rally was flagged off by CO Anil Joshi.
- The rally passed through Chowk Bazaar and Railway Road, concluding at the school.
- Participants carried placards and slogans promoting cleanliness and anti-drug messages.

The program was chaired by Principal Naresh Verma and coordinated by Hindi Department Head Ashwani Gupta.
Notable attendees included social workers Shobhit Uniyal and Prakash Kothari, Sub-Inspector Shishupal Singh Rana, senior teachers Alok Joshi, Bhuvanesh Verma, and others. Constables and numerous students also actively participated.
