DM and SSP Inaugurate 22 CCTV Cameras & PA System in Paltan Bazaar for Public Safety
District Magistrate (DM) Savin Bansal and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Singh formally inaugurated 22 newly installed CCTV cameras and a Public Address (PA) system in Paltan Bazaar on Saturday from Kotwali Dehradun, aiming to enhance public safety and law enforcement.
DM Savin Bansal emphasized that all available resources are meant for public welfare. He stated that government services and social schemes funded by the government should benefit even the last person in society. Authorities are continuously working towards this goal, and any public suggestions for improvement will be considered.
During a joint inspection by the DM and SSP, they directed the installation of CCTV cameras, a Public Address System, and a Pink Booth in Paltan Bazaar to enhance security for the public, traders, and women. Following this, the DM allocated funds to the police department for implementing these measures.
SSP Ajay Singh acknowledged the DM’s proactive support in strengthening security and traffic management in the city. He stated that proposals for security improvements are being approved swiftly, with funds being allocated immediately, significantly aiding law enforcement efforts.
He further mentioned that budget constraints often limit police resources, but with district administration’s support, these limitations are now being overcome. He assured that better security arrangements will soon be in place across the city, adding that 46 CCTV cameras will soon be installed in Rishikesh as part of the initiative.
