The Agriculture Mahakumbh will be held from February 20 to February 22, 2025, at the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. This event is being jointly organized by the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Govind Ballabh Pant Agricultural University.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the brochure and poster for the 17th Agricultural Science Conference and Exhibition at his residence on Thursday.
The Vice-Chancellor of Pantnagar University, Prof. M.S. Chauhan, stated that the conference will host over 4,000 delegates from more than 50 countries.
Key topics to be discussed during the conference include:
- Innovations in agriculture for mountainous regions
- Promoting young professionals in the agricultural sector
- Digital agriculture
- Climate change
- Smart livestock farming
Prof. Chauhan further mentioned that the conference will also include seminars on topics such as:
- High-quality education for scientific innovation
- Opportunities in beekeeping
- New measures to combat poverty and malnutrition
Additionally, an Agricultural Technology Exhibition will be organized, featuring participation from over 200 institutions from India and abroad.
Present on the occasion were Prof. Durgesh Pant, Director General of UCOST; Prof. Ajit Singh, Director (Research) of Pantnagar University; and Dr. Anil Kumar, Joint Director.
