The problem of queuing in the OPD registration counter of the hospital ends.

Srinagar, January 6, 2025

At Base Hospital, patients can now easily obtain OPD slips using tokens without standing in long queues, thanks to the ABHA ID Counter. Three additional personnel have been deployed exclusively for this task. Over the past two and a half months, 15,564 individuals have taken tokens for OPD slips using their ABHA IDs.

Under the instructions of the State Health and Medical Education Minister, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, the hospital began generating OPD slips through the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) via the ABHA app. Initially, the responsibility for this task was assigned to the Medical Records Department staff. To extend the benefits of ABHA ID to more people, three personnel from other departments were assigned to this counter, significantly increasing the pace of registrations.

Between October 16 and December 2024, 15,564 individuals registered for their OPD slips using ABHA IDs. Instead of standing in queues, patients now collect tokens through the ABHA app and obtain their OPD slips at the ABHA Counter, saving them from the hassle of waiting in long lines.

Patients or their attendants can scan a QR code using the ABHA app to save time and avoid standing in line for OPD slip registration. For convenience, QR codes have been placed at various locations in the hospital by the Base Hospital administration.

The ABHA Counter operators, Balwant Singh, Abhishek Bhatt, Shubham, and Isha Thapliyal, stated that a significant number of people are now using the ABHA app for OPD slip registration. They are also providing information about the app to visitors.

According to hospital administration, patients can download the Driefcase app along with ABHA registration to generate OPD slip tokens for their family members or others. While the ABHA app allows token generation for one person only, the Driefcase app enables multiple registrations, provided the user has access to the ABHA QR Code.

For more details about the app, visitors can contact the ABHA Counter at the hospital.
