A Vision Brought to Life
Shruti Gupta, the festival’s organizer, expressed her excitement, saying,
“I’m thrilled to be hosting and organizing the Dehradun Food Literature Festival, a first-of-its-kind event that merges my two great passions – food and literature. We wanted to create a platform that focuses on literature through the prism of food, highlighting how food is not just something we eat but a powerful storytelling medium. It reflects culture, history, and personal narratives. This festival is a space for food enthusiasts, writers, and storytellers to connect. I’m delighted to collaborate with RushinaMunshaw-Ghildiyal to ensure this event is not just about food but about the rich, untold stories that accompany it. I look forward to welcoming experts, authors, and food historians to celebrate the intersection of food and literature.”
