Uttarakhand CM Launches Bhagirath Mobile App for Water Conservation
Theme: “Dhara Mera, Naula Mera, Gaon Mera, Prayas Mera”

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the “Bhagirath” mobile app as part of the Water Conservation Campaign 2025 during a one-day workshop at Mukhyasevak Sadan. This initiative aligns with the campaign’s theme, “Dhara Mera, Naula Mera, Gaon Mera, Prayas Mera”.
The Bhagirath app will enable users to report critical and endangered water sources in their areas. The government will use this data to facilitate their rejuvenation and conservation efforts. A brochure related to the campaign was also unveiled at the event.
Over 6,500 Water Sources Conserved
The Spring and River Rejuvenation Authority (SARA), established by the Uttarakhand government, has played a crucial role in water conservation. Last year, in collaboration with various departments, SARA:
✅ Conserved over 6,500 water sources across the state.
✅ Successfully stored 3.12 million cubic meters of rainwater.
Scientific Approach to River Rejuvenation

Statewide Water Conservation Campaign
CM Dhami emphasized that water is the foundation of progress and development. Under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, Uttarakhand is expanding water conservation efforts from villages to the state level, ensuring public participation in the mission.
