Badrinath Dham Yatra 2025: Shri Badrinath Dham, May 4, 2025 – The portals of Shri Badrinath Dham were ceremoniously opened for the summer season on Sunday at 6 a.m. with Vedic chants and traditional rituals. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed the first Mahabhishek Puja in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praying for the prosperity and well-being of the nation and the state.
The Chief Minister also offered prayers at all temples within the complex, including the Lakshmi Temple, Ganesh Temple, and the Adi Guru Shankaracharya Gaddi.
He greeted the pilgrims and devotees at Badrinath (Badrinath Dham Yatra 2025) and also took feedback from them regarding the travel arrangements.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government has made efforts at every level to ensure a smooth Char Dham Yatra and enhance facilities for devotees. He appealed to all pilgrims visiting Devbhoomi Uttarakhand to contribute to a green and clean Char Dham Yatra.
The Chief Minister took detailed information about the master plan projects from Chamoli District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari and inspected the ongoing construction near the temple.

He directed the District Magistrate to ensure timely and quality completion of the master plan works. Expressing satisfaction over the travel arrangements in Badrinath Dham, he instructed the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police to ensure robust arrangements for pilgrim convenience and safety.
Chief Minister Dhami also inquired about the preparations for the Shri Hemkund Sahib Yatra and gave instructions to swiftly organize the necessary facilities.
He reviewed the construction work of a bridge being built over the Alaknanda River in Govindghat. He instructed the District Magistrate to inspect the site and ensure the bridge is completed with quality before the start of the pilgrimage.
During the occasion, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Jyotish Peeth’s Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj, MLA Lakhpat Butola, newly appointed Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) Vice President Vijay Kaparwan and Rishi Prasad Sati, BKTC CEO Vijay Thapliyal, and Dharamadhikari Radhakrishna Thapliyal were present.
