Rudraksh saplings will be planted in the name of medal winning players in National Games
National Sports Secretariat is going to give effective message of Green Games by organizing a program on 10th February.

A total of 1,600 Rudraksha trees will be planted in honor of the national games medal-winning athletes on 2.77 hectares of forest department land near Maharana Pratap Sports College, Dehradun. The National Games Secretariat will host a grand event on February 10 to promote the impactful message of Green Games.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the National Games are being organized with the Green Games theme.
“We have taken several green initiatives that will spread the message of environmental conservation far and wide. The ‘Khel Van’ (Sports Forest) is a significant step in this direction,” he said.
The theme of the 38th National Games is ‘Green Games’, and the Uttarakhand government has implemented several green initiatives, gaining nationwide recognition.
As part of these efforts, a tree plantation plan has been introduced to honor medal-winning athletes by planting trees in their names.
During the inaugural ceremony of the National Games, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the Uttarakhand government’s green initiatives.
The ‘Khel Van’ (Sports Forest), which is set to be developed, is now almost ready.
