Uttarakhand Food Safety Officers Transfers
Dehradun, June 11, 2025: The Uttarakhand government has taken a significant step towards strengthening and improving the state’s food safety system. A major administrative reshuffle has been carried out in the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department, resulting in a large number of transfers of designated officers across the state. According to the official order issued by the government, a total of nine officers have been transferred. The Commissioner has also instructed all officers to immediately report to their new postings.

List of Transfers (Uttarakhand Food Safety Officers Transfers):

P.C. Joshi has been transferred from Almora to Pauri.

Amitabh Joshi has been moved from Chamoli to Bageshwar.

Lalit Mohan Pandey has been transferred from Bageshwar to Udham Singh Nagar.

Prakash Chandra Fulera will now serve in Almora, transferred from Udham Singh Nagar.

Sanjay Kumar has been shifted from Nainital to Haridwar.

Manoj Kumar Singh has been transferred from Rudraprayag to Chamoli.

Ajab Singh Rawat will now take charge in Rudraprayag, transferred from Pauri.

Mahima Anand Joshi has been moved from Haridwar to Nainital.

Pawan Kumar has been transferred from Jaspur (Udham Singh Nagar) to Bhagwanpur (Haridwar) and has also been assigned additional responsibilities.
Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Commissioner of the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department, stated, “This administrative reshuffle was necessary to ensure transparency and efficiency in the state’s food safety system. The move aims to make better use of the officers’ capabilities. Our goal is to ensure that consumers have access to quality and safe food products. All officers have been instructed to immediately join their new postings so that food safety operations are not disrupted.”
