A group of students from Shri Dev Suman University Campus, Pandit Lalit Mohan Sharma PG College, Rishikesh, along with their teachers, visited Uttarakhand Sanskrit University located in Bahadrabad, Haridwar.
During the seminar organized on this occasion, the Head of the Yoga Science Department, Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Joshi, stated that yoga is being practiced worldwide for the enhancement of physical, mental, and spiritual health.
He emphasized that yoga is a necessity in today’s society. Due to this, yoga is rapidly being adopted globally for the improvement of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Dr. Joshi mentioned that the students of Dev Suman Campus visited the university to observe the resources available for yoga therapy in the Yoga Science Department. The department is equipped with strong laboratories for naturopathy, Panchakarma, and alternative medicine, which help in enhancing the benefits of yoga therapy.
During this educational tour, the Head of the Department at Shri Dev Suman Campus, Dr. Jay Prakash Kanswal, stated that the purpose of the academic building is to establish connections with each other and to utilize the facilities available in different campuses. He also mentioned that both departments will sign an MoU in the future, and similar educational tours will continue to be organized in university campuses.
The joint seminar of students from both departments was inaugurated by lighting a lamp by the Head of the Yoga Science Department, Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Joshi, along with Dr. Chandrashekhar Sharma, Rajendra Nautiyal, Dr. Jay Prakash Kanswal, Dr. Chandreshwari, Dr. Himani Nautiyal, and Dr. Bina Rayal. On this occasion, gratitude was expressed towards the university’s department heads, Vice-Chancellor, and Registrar. Research scholars Dishant Sharma and Saurabh Sharma were also present at the seminar.
