Uttarakhand: Cluster schools will be built in every block, know who is the nodal officer for which school

Uttarakhand to Establish Cluster Schools Under NEP-2020

Dehradun, March 17, 2025 – The School Education Department of Uttarakhand has initiated the Cluster School Plan, under which one cluster school will be developed in each block in the first phase. Nodal officers have been appointed for the on-site inspection of these schools to ensure the availability of basic facilities.

These officials will soon inspect the allocated schools and submit a detailed report to the government through the Directorate of Education. Based on these reports, the construction of the first-phase cluster schools will begin.

Key Features of Cluster Schools:

📌 Classes from 6th to 12th with modern infrastructure
📌 Smart classrooms & virtual learning facilities
📌 Tinkering labs & computer labs
📌 Subject-specific laboratories & art & craft rooms
📌 Library, sports grounds & proper sanitation facilities
📌 Availability of subject teachers, sports & yoga instructors, librarians, and support staff

Implementation Process:

• Nodal officers, including Directorate officials, district education officers, DIET principals, and block education officers, will conduct on-site inspections.
• Detailed reports will be submitted to the Directorate for further action.
• Schools with low student enrollment will be merged into cluster schools to improve education quality.
• Gradually, cluster schools will be transformed into residential schools, especially benefiting students from remote areas.

✅ Vinod Kumar Simlti (Secretary, Uttarakhand School Education Board): PM Shri GIC Mahuwadabra, US Nagar
✅ Padmendra Saklani (Joint Director): GIC Talwadi, Chamoli
✅ Kanchan Devradi (Additional Director, Garhwal): GIC Kot, Pauri
✅ Ambadatt Balodi (Additional Director, Kumaon): GIC Bagwalipokhar, Almora

At the district and block levels, additional nodal officers have been appointed to oversee the project.
