Anand Bardhan, the newly appointed Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand, assumed charge at the Chief Secretary’s office in the Secretariat on Monday. Outgoing Chief Secretary Radha Raturi handed over the charge to Anand Bardhan.

On this occasion, the newly appointed Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan stated that the priority of the administration is the successful implementation of the government’s policies for the development of the state.

He emphasized that livelihood, employment, skill development, and reverse migration are among the key priorities. Creating new opportunities for livelihood and developing infrastructure are crucial for the state’s progress.

The newly appointed Chief Secretary also highlighted that urbanization and the state’s health sector are significant challenges. He stressed the need for continuous efforts to improve cities and enhance healthcare services.

Additionally, he pointed out that water conservation is a major issue. The entire world is facing a water crisis, and there is a need for effective ground-level action in the interest of the general public on these key issues.

Regarding the financial situation of the state, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan mentioned that continuous efforts must be made to explore new resources and enhance existing ones. All officials and employees of the Secretariat were present on this occasion.
