Swati S. Bhadauria, the Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM) Uttarakhand, inspected various healthcare facilities in Udham Singh Nagar. She conducted a thorough review of the district hospital in Rudrapur, including wards, SNCU, labor room, emergency services, mammography, radiology, DIPHL lab, free diagnostic schemes, tele-radiology, and OPD sections.
During her inspection of the dialysis center at the district hospital, she was informed that over 700 dialysis sessions are conducted each month, leading to challenges for patients due to high demand. The Mission Director directed the Chief Medical Officer to submit a proposal to the Mission Office for establishing additional dialysis centers in other healthcare units of the district.
Addressing the severe issue of anemia among pregnant women, she emphasized the implementation of the T3 strategy—Test, Treat, Talk. This approach prioritizes timely diagnosis, treatment, and counseling for anemia. She instructed officials to ensure the availability of necessary materials at anemia testing and treatment centers. Health facilities should be equipped with all essential resources for managing severe anemia. A comprehensive list of required materials must be prepared, followed by strict adherence and monitoring.
The Mission Director also reviewed the progress of programs such as Janani Suraksha Yojana, ASHA DBT, Family Planning, NCD, and Quality Assurance initiatives. She instructed that all incentive payments to ASHAs and DBT payments to beneficiaries be processed promptly.
During her visit to the district TB center, she assessed the implementation of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program and inspected the availability of TB medications at the state drug store. Currently, all medicines were found to be in stock. She directed the District Tuberculosis Officer to ensure timely communication with higher authorities for maintaining future stock availability.
The Mission Director also visited the Ayushman Arogya Mandir in Chutki Deoria and provided necessary guidelines to the officials.
