New Delhi, June 3: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are expected to release the much-awaited City Intimation Slip for the RRB NTPC Undergraduate (UG) Level Examination 2026, providing candidates with advance information about their allotted examination city. The move comes ahead of the Computer-Based Test (CBT-1), which is scheduled to be conducted across the country from June 13 to June 20, 2026.

The city intimation slip serves as a pre-examination facility that enables candidates to know the city where their examination centre has been allotted. This allows aspirants, particularly those assigned centres outside their home districts or states, to make necessary travel and accommodation arrangements well in advance. Railway officials have clarified that the city slip is different from the admit card and cannot be used for entry into the examination hall.

Candidates will be able to access the city intimation slip by visiting their respective regional RRB websites and logging in with their registration credentials. The document is expected to mention the examination date, allotted city, and reporting schedule. Detailed information regarding the examination centre address will be available only on the admit card, which is likely to be released four days before the examination date.

The RRB NTPC Undergraduate recruitment drive is being conducted under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 07/2025 to fill vacancies in several non-technical popular category posts. These include Junior Clerk-cum-Typist, Accounts Clerk-cum-Typist, Trains Clerk, and Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk, among others. The recruitment process has attracted a large number of applicants from across the country, making it one of the most competitive examinations in the railway sector.

According to the examination schedule, CBT-1 will be held in multiple shifts over eight days. The examination will assess candidates in subjects such as General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. Those qualifying in CBT-1 will proceed to subsequent stages of the recruitment process as prescribed by the Railway Recruitment Boards.

Meanwhile, candidates are advised to regularly check official RRB portals for updates regarding city slips, admit cards, examination guidelines, and reporting instructions. Railway authorities have also urged aspirants to avoid relying on unverified information circulating on social media platforms and to follow only official notifications.

With the examination dates approaching, experts recommend that candidates focus on revision, practice mock tests, and familiarize themselves with the exam pattern and time-management strategies. The release of the city intimation slip marks the beginning of the final phase of preparation for lakhs of railway job aspirants awaiting an opportunity to join one of the country’s largest employers.
