In the February meeting of the School Management Committee of Government Primary School Ramgarh, concerns were raised over the shortage of classrooms in the school. Emphasis was laid on having separate classrooms for each grade. A proposal was passed to construct two additional classrooms and a separate room for the library. It was decided to send this proposal to the District Project Officer, Samagra Shiksha, Dehradun.
The meeting was chaired by newly elected councilor Sobat Chand Ramola.
The meeting commenced with the lighting of a lamp before Goddess Saraswati by the President of the School Management Committee, Seema, along with newly elected councilor Sobat Chand Ramola, former Deputy Pradhan Sandhya Thapa, social worker Sohan Shahi, Shashi Semwal, and Alok Parmar
On this occasion, the school’s girl students presented a devotional hymn to Goddess Saraswati in the Garhwali language.
The President of the School Management Committee, Seema, and the school’s principal, Arvind Singh Solanki, welcomed the newly elected councilor, Sobat Chand Ramola, and other guests by garlanding them and presenting bouquets.
Various aspects related to the development of the school were discussed during the meeting. Principal Arvind Singh Solanki stated that, under the Right to Education Act 2009, the government order regarding the formation of the School Management Committee specifies that the ward member of an urban-area school is an ex-officio member of the committee. As Sobat Singh Ramola has been elected as the councilor from Ward-85, Mothrowala, he is now a member of the School Management Committee.
